Hi! Just tested my first roll into a newly purchased leica IIIa.. I'm having all these light dots on my film, I think it might be fungus as there appears to be quite a lot on the lens, however a friend suggests that it may be holes in the shutter... I had a look at the shutter, and it appears to be fine... Did a bit of research but couldn't find much..
Anyone able to help identify and suggest what it might be?

the dots are all same on the shots.
never knew lightleaks would look so cool, like stars.

+1 - Note the repeating pattern of vertical dots near the center of all images. It is certainly a reliable repeating mechanical problem. The only logical explanation is that at least one, and prossibly both, of the shutter curtains has a large number of pinholes.

Definitely pinholes in the curtains.
