Hi all,

I have just released a Light Meter iPhone app. Your comments are welcome!

This is not the first light meter for the iPhone. I've been using another iPhone meter app (shareware & ad-funded) for couple of months which has been deadly accurate. Going to have to try this one out too (as I don't like the ads in the one I'm currently using!).

This one may disappoint you too, as it's also iAd-supported 😛

The one I've been using has a bracket showing which part of the scene it's actually metering, like a semi-spot meter. What's the metering pattern like on yours? Centerweighted I'm assuming, since I don't see a marking for a spot...
Aside from that, the layout looks nice, might have to give it a try.

Center-weighted. Thanks.

I spent a good 15-20 seconds trying to get the right ISO via that little slider thingy, perhaps I'm too old. Also, I think it's much easier for the photographer to not tap before you meter the scene. Some of the other apps ( which I'm sure you are aware ), reads the meter 'live'.
Thank you for giving us an avenue to feedback.

You may also use the [+] and [-] button to adjust ISO. I will try to add a "live" metering in next version ;-) Thanks for the suggestion!

the ads for the "Pocket Light Meter" go away if you pay the $.99... The should be similar in accuracy - they just pull the phone's camera exosure info.

I like the clean look of the screen on this one.
