First I want to thank everyone for their help. I only have one problem now. ( With the camera anyway) I put new batteries in and the light meter comes on but it will only give me a - sign. I can point it straight at a light and still get only the negative sign. By the wy it is a Fujica gs645 folder. The bellowes have already been replaced and the insides seem to be working well. Has anyone else had this problem with the meter and if so can it be fixed or should I just carry around another meter.
Thanks Paul

It does have an external sensor - not a ttl - meter. Can you make sure that it's not being blocked in the VF somehow? Also, is the ASA set correctly? That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

an externa sensor . I'll have to change my hand position and see what happens.
Well i don't think I'm blocking anything and I still only get the - sign. it may need some work done.

fuji gs645 light meter problem
fuji gs645 light meter problem
Hi, I've got the same problem with the lightmeter. Everything was OK but then I dropped the camera and now light meter shows only "-". Any changes in shutter speed or apperture settings do not affect anything
Might be somebody knows how to fix that?

The happy end.
Finally the problem was solved. Because of the falling down the wiring (see the photo) was damaged. After reparing the lightmeter works fine.
