have a wedding this weekend, it's outdoors, and supposed to be horribly rainy -- we've got a few sheltered spots for the wedding --- but i am thinking after it's all over to go all out with the wet bride and groom --- what's the best way to make use of the rain?

metz flash? on camera flash? natural light, no flash, high shutter speed? 1/30 shutter? i want this to be as fun and memorable as a rainy outdoors wedding can be

Suggest you google 'portraits in the rain'. This article might come in useful. Remember a short strobe duration will freeze raindrops. If you can experiment with digital before the wedding that would be helpful.

A long time ago I shot an early evening wedding in the rain using manual focus, film and a Metz 45 CT-1. It was not a fun experience - made more difficult when the vf fogged with condensation. If you're using AF then check that the AF is selecting your subject rather than the rain drops. Check that reflected light from the raindrops between you and the subject don't fool the exposure into underexposing the subject.

Edit: see also this article about Japanese photographer Satoki Nagata.

I should also add, good luck and enjoy the shoot! There is the potential to get some amazing shots.

Thanks. Had just browsed that samme article before posting

Found out we are all going to ride one.of the downtowm horse carriages to go from the hotel to the wedding site. 15mm on the cl for that part
