Anyone curious about Leica NJ repair times right now need not worry. A Leica M8 i sent in with a bad shutter and needing replacement was done in 4 days. ( Vulcanite upgrade + change of viewfinder mask and a full CLA as well).

I had the same experience last month.
Leica NJ received my M8 on a Monday for a pixel line repair and screen replacement.
They shipped it out on Friday and it was back in my hands the following Monday.

Leica must have had some of its recent profits invested in world-wide customer service. There have been similar stories from Sydney and elsewhere with the M9. Stands to reason that if they want pros to take on a digital Leica they need to provide a repair and service system that a pro can have confidence in.
