Lightroom 4 Settings Help for Posting

Hello all -- I have no problem posting to other boards like Leicaimages & Rangefinderimages -- but I cannot, for the life of me, get a file out of Lightroom to fit the .4 MB file limit size of RRF's Gallery.

Can anyone here help me with what I should type in the max size fileoutput box and pixels per inch box? (I know, logically, it should be .4 MB -- but that doesn't work; in fact, the final file size if I type in 650KB and 30 ppi comes out to nearly 1MB). I've tried a million different variations, even down to 10 ppi. Either Lightroom informs me in can't make a file of that size or the file it does make is too big.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to post here.

Not too sure, but I've been leaving my settings stock at 300ppi, and just setting my filesize limit to 400k in the export options and generally it's been in the 320-380kb area so I'm not too sure what's causing your problems.

Isn't the max a tiny bit smaller than you're quoting? "Maximum file size: 0.390625 MB bytes. Only JPG files are allowed."

Thanks guys - I found the problem. Needed to define the width and height. All good, now.
