First off if there are thread already covering this please point me to them
I've order an M8 which is expect to arrive on Wednesday and was wondering what if any default setting people used in LR 3 to process their DNG files to including what defaulting setting they use to deal with noise in images shot at higher ISO.
I've already downloaded and install the m8-2_005.upd file per the instruction provided by Double Negative on 06-09-10 in the "Lightroom profiles for M8" thread.
Basically Looking for a good place to start for processing color images from which I can adjust the images to my liking.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Mike: I am quite interested in your pursuit here. How do you install Double Negative's file for use in Lightroom 3? (On a PC, I am struggling with this.)

Ramosa,
I'm on a Mac so I just followed the instructions provided by Double Negative.
Try doing a search for *.*.upd (think that the correct wildcard to use) and it should show you the folder were the .upd files that came with LR 3.0 are located. Then all you should need to do is put the m8-2_005.upd file in there and restart LR.

Thank you. I will try this--and this just means to need to get my Mac soon ... (which is my plan) ...
