Like ketchup on prime rib -LOMO and Leica

I checked it on all my M bodies and found:

Mounts and removes easily on:

M240
M3
MDa

Mounts but a bit of a struggle to remove:

Bessa R3A

Does not fit at all:

Both my Minolta CLEs

Chickened out trying to fit because I love it too much and it is the best camera ever made:

Leica M5

(FYI on the M240 it pulls up the 35mm frame lines)
I also tested the focus accuracy with my M240 and there are no issues there.

Wow, that is a TINY lens! Great photos, and the color cast is really not too noticeable.

I dunno man... the M5 has the swinging meter arm and seeing that it did not seem to fit easily I did not try to push my luck.

It's weird how on some of my M cameras there is no issue whatsoever. There must be something in the lens mount housing that is different between them.

Forgive me for beating it to death.

One of The images of the lens on the lomo site shows the mount and lens profile.
It does not appear to have any part of the lens projecting beyond the mount.
Is there a deep rear element that might interfere with the shutter or meter arm/diode on some cameras?
Have they simply edited the lens image to make it look very thin?
Just trying to understand. 🙂

The depth looks to be the same compared to the mounts on my other Leica M lenses which mount fine w/o ANY issues on all of my M cameras. Nothing sticks out deeper. The issue seems to lie with the thick black lip/housing of the rear element (actually the aperture mechanism is the last thing in line). The CV (and all my other M mount lenses) do not have that as can be seen in the comparison photo below:

Thank you that's a big help.
I'm feeling confident it will clear... It will be easy enough to measure anyway.
I had a ltm nikkor 35 1.8.
It was fit and looked deeper overall. Fingers crossd for yhe m5 🙂

Cross processed to give it more of that LOMO look..

And I just noticed this! A crop from the pic above showing a dragonfly! Man, is this LOMO lens passably sharp if you catch something in the middle of the frame!
