Lingerie photographer uses FP4 for 2015 catalogue

I still use film on regularly on paid shoots.
I know there are enough others doing it that it is not that much of a novelty.
If anything i have seen more film cameras around lately than in a long while.

Here is a link to polaroid negatives for a 2012 champaign. negatives from bleached fp100 backing sheets

I see no reason for any furore around this at all. Fashion is all about trends, whether they're new or revisiting past looks. It makes perfect sense to me that now we have a generation of professional photographers who've (probably) worked purely with digital that they'd want to revisit an older aesthetic - add to those photographers the same generation of art directors, designers et al.

As to the use of digital, I'd quite happily shoot digital for test shots and approval with the "final" image made on film. Again, it makes sense to me to use everything you have at your disposal to get the final outcome you desire, be it the right look or a happy Chief Exec of the company you're working for.

CAVEAT - When I say "Fashion is all about trends," I am talking as a forty one year old, denim trouser wearing lover of the shirt and jumper look, a Mr Average Middle Age and these words have obviously entered my consciousnesses via some magazine article or TV interview with someone who may actually know what they're talking about.
