Hello:
I have a Linhof 70 with a three lobed cam, 65, 100, 180 but without any serial numbers. Was there a generic cam or were the numbers omitted by some shops?

Hi Frank,
It might be a cam which has not yet been grinded. As far as I know the cams has to be fitted to a lens and to a body. Does teh cam actually does it's job?

Hello:
There are no serial numbers but it is ground for 65-100-180. I've positioned the infinity stops for a "100" Tessar and a 180 Tele-Technikon acquired seperately and the rangefinder and GG focus agree!

I owned one of the late versions of the Technica 70 with a 53 super angulon, 100 2.8 planar and 180 tele arton. I also shot a master technica with cams for six lenses for about twenty five years. If I remember correctly all had SN's on the cams. That's not to say some might not. I did finf the worked fine for other lenses of the same model and focal length. For precise work it was best to have it cut for the specific lens but generally one could switch cams and lenses of different SN's with no big effect.
Those are really great cameras. I have often wished I had mine back. I guess I had the 70 for about four or five years.
