List of all 28mm lenses available for CLE?

Hey all, i was wondering if there's a comprehensive list of all the 28mm options for the CLE somewhere on here? (didn't see one). Anyways, i'll start with the obvious ones:

For now, I'm trying to find a $5-600 or below priced 28mm for my CLE (smaller the better, though the MS optical seems a bit too delicate) and just want to see what's out there 🙂 Any ones i'm missing? Thanks!

The older version l of the 28/2.8 Elmarit cannot be used on the CL as the rear element protrudes too deep into the body, interfering with the meter arm like the 21/3.4 Super Angulon.

The Hex is better, but much bigger.
The VC is such a great tiny wonder...

Keep in mind that on the CLE, the 28 M-Rokkor or an LTM lens with 35mm adapter will give you nice, isolated 28mm framelines. All other M-mount lenses will also show the 90mm frame.

Thanks for the replies everybody! Originally i was just going to get the m-rokkor 28mm to pair with the 40mm m-rokkor i have, but those weird white spots have me pretty freaked out haha. Is it something that eventually happens to all of them? The ones i found on ebay almost all seem to have them(?)
Right now, i think the main ones i'm contemplating are the zeiss zm (though its actually out of my price range), the hex (though it's a bit larger than i want), the CV color skopar (i have the 25mm right now, and it performs well, but i just don't like the "feel" of it if that makes sense...just the focus tab and the overall look) and the m-rokkor, if i can find a clean one. I would really prefer a 2.8 but if i can't find anything, i'll go for a 3.5...maybe the Avenon or CV...

Question was about the CLE, not the CL. Common mistake. Some deep-set lenses do mask the CLE metering cell, however, and the old Elmarit 2.8 may be one of them.

so i think i'm leaning to the m-rokkor at this point after contemplating all the options...just have to find one without those annoying white spots 😛

If you want tiny, I'd go for that 28/3.5 Avenon/Kobalux/PasOptik. It is tint, has a very simple 6-element design, very little distortion, and a ton of contrast. Many versions have 10-blade apertures. Made by the late Abe-san, the gentleman who brought you Komura lenses in the 1960s. The only place this doesn't excel is tiny details at long distances (and this may just be the adapter I'm using being slightly too thick - I'm still checking various LTM adapters).

The M-Hexanon is pretty astounding. But not cheap.

I'm surprised to hear the Kobalux is 6 element. That is what the old Canon and Nikon were but seems like a stretch for 28. Do you know the design? Have diagram?

I've got one on trial/loan right now, along with a 2.8 Canon and haven't used it enough to know much, but definitely noticeable sharpness falloff away from the center. I guess that I just need to take some pictures now and see if I'm happy. I'd much prefer f2.8, but I can afford the Koablux.

I shot with the Angenieux for years and it was a retrofocus made originally for Exakta, I believe.

I didn't see the Voigtländer Ultron 28/2 on your list. A good lens, although a little sub par wide open.

I certainly haven't used all the ones listed, but between the Ultron and the Color Skopar 28/3.5, particularly the latter, I'm content. I prefer the CS lens, in fact, and use it on CL, M4-2, M9, GXR, and A7.

Maybe the W-Nikkor 1:3.5 f=2.8cm might fit the bill? Cost isn't bad and its darn small. Oh yeah it, takes good pictures Sometimes I tend to think most lenses were produced on a Monday morning in the Ukraine. It pays to compare. Good luck.
