I ordered something called Arista Premium Liquid A&B Lith Developer. It should give me x20 times 1L (quart) working solution. Enough to try lith printing for first time.

Is old FB paper OK? I think, I have IlfoBrom and Agfa Brovira, single contrast papers.
Which FB contract is better?

And what kind of images are good for lith printing?

Any negative works for lith - thin, dense, flat, you name it.

Old FB paper can be okay, you just have to jump in and try it out. The Ilfobrom being a bromide paper will likely be slow (could be up to 45 minutes of agitation) and possibly grainy.

One way to speed up the process is to keep the solution warm (40 degrees celsius) and keeping a water bath under the developing tray.

New papers - I guess Fomatone still works.

So, I'll start with Brovira. I want to see if #2 will give me enough contrast in lith.
In regular developer it is not as good as #4.

do not use filters. They slow the process and add nothing to the image.

Printed last night with Arista Lith developer. Started with 1:24 ratio and it was fifty or so minutes for old Agfa Brovira FB paper. Agfa RC was around thirty minutes. Printed four 8x10 prints in three hours.

For next time going to decrease dilution twice and increase developing temperature.

Printed for second time with adding of fresh A,B parts to 1L of developer from first time.
This time developing was faster.
