Logged out, timed out

I log on, waffle about in general, find a post to reply to - then I need to look something up, either locally on my computer or on some other site. When I get back I am logged out and my halfways composed message is gone, gone, gone...

Is there any way to remedy this or am I supposed to rattle off a reply fast as hell before I get logged off? Has it to do with cookies or something? 🙂

Simple solution: Press control-n for a new window and work from there. That way the old window will stay alive.

do you have cookies enabled?
i never log off, just keep coming back and the computer/site knows it's me.

Okay, could be that I have my cookies turned off. I use Firefox and most of the time all my windows are tabs. I'll have to try the "new window" technique and see what the cookies are up to... 🙂

EDIT: cookies are turned on, at least. Flushed the cache clean, and we'll see whatever happens.
