Bulb, PC flash connection, and AE (not just fixed shutter speed) - $200
Not bad- (except I hate the cheap FSU style leather covering)

looks nicer than the Fuji and the wireless remote will mean lots of selfies or steadier slow speed shooting. I'd buy

The features look nicer than the Fujis, but the corner softness in the Lomo-supplied images is notably disappointing; as it is, the Fuji images are barely tolerable for having only adequate sharpness, IMO.
The more expensive Lomo kit, with accessory lenses, looks interesting, as do the four body styles available.
So, while the corner softness in the Lomo images is typical of what I'd expect, the fact of the camera having automatic shutter speeds actually surprises me, given how so many of the cameras sold by Lomo only have one speed, essentially plastic versions of Brownie box cameras.

Yeah, but you can't really judge the photos based on the samples they post- I feel like they were edited to enhance the lomo-ness
Also surprised by the automatic shutter speeds

With the new Kickstarter campaign for a Lomo'Instant Automat I got interested in the Lomo'Instant Wide. It arrived last thursday and today I took 2 indoor shots on automate with flash. After my dissapointment with the Lomo'Instant I must say I'm pleased with the results. But it is too early for final conclusion. Took the same pictures with the Fuji mini 90. This has less lens distortion and a clear viewfinder. The viewfinder of the Lomo Wide is not verry clear. I found a good review on Vimeo (compared to the Instax 500). Hope I find some time in the next days and weeks to take some test pictures.
I don't think it will replace the Fuji mini 90 but it will be a nice addition.

Has anyone used a Fuji Instax Wide 500AF if so could they indicate which they prefer, he Fuji or the Lomo? I'm mostly interested in being able to turn off the flash for nearly every photo.

To close the loop on my earlier post: I was very disappointed with mine - image quality was pretty poor in general daylight outdoor snapshooting - mushy lens, erratic meter. (Didn't try any with flash.)
Also, I couldn't see clearly through the viewfinder because the effective diopter was way off from what I need. (I have no trouble with the viewfinders in the Fuji Wide 300 and Mini 90.)
Lomo being Lomo, I wouldn't be surprised if there is substantial sample variation. But taking all into consideration I couldn't justify hassling with Lomo over an exchange or spending the time and film to try other samples. I ended up giving mine away.

Regret to inform that I do not have experience with the Instax 500. However I've seen some discussions on following website: polaroid-passion.com. It's a French website but with Chrome or Google translate it is possible to understand the context. They even have an English section. The Instax 500 is the only Fuji wide that is capable of turning off the flash. Due to the high prices and import duties and taxes I decided to take the Lomo.

Ps: what I noticed on the Vimeo review of the Lomo compared ro the 500 AF:
-build quality of the 500 is better
-viewfinder is clear
-the AF works fine - closesd distance is 60 centimeter
On polaroid-passion.com was a discussion concernig exposure in bright sunlight due to the limited shutterspeed
