I discovered the Lomo camera craze a while ago and ever since, Ive been looking at flikr for all the Lomo LC-A pictures I can find. I just love the colored vignetting affect it has.
Right now I have a Minolta SRT-101 slr, with a 50mm f/1.7, a 35mm f/2.8, and a 16mm f/2.8 fisheye. However, it is big, bulky, and loud so I have been planning on getting a smaller 35mm camera for a while so that I can carry it with me everywhere I go. I also want to start experimenting with cross-processing.
I would love to purchase one of the newer Lomo LC-A+ cameras. It supports film speeds up to 1600, and also supports multiple exposures. It has a 32mm f/2.8 lens.
Im really thinking about buying one of these, but everywhere I look, they are about 200 dollars or more. I simply cant afford that much money for a P&S.
My question is this; Does anyone know of a cheaper way to purchase a Lomo LC-A+? Does anyone know of another P&S that does the same thing as the Lomo LC-A? Any insight or help will be greatly appreciated.

I really liked my Lomo when I had it but the prices are outrageous now. If you can find one for $100 go for it.
Otherwise for less money pick up an Olympus XA, XA2 or XA4 (the XA4 had a 28mm lens). The XA has an actual rangefinder focusing (which in practice isn't all that useful) and the XA2 has zone focusing like the LOMO. The XA's command a premium, like $100 but you can often find XA2s from free to about $50 or $60. They are plentiful on ebay.
Much of the classic lomo look has to do with contrast, saturation and vignetting. All of which you can get with the XA by cross processing slide film into print film. Many LOMO folks do this. I do it with my Leica or a Yashica T4 super (another great point and shoot).
I like the LOMO philosophy but you don't really need a LOMO to do it or get the effect.

Fedka gets them sometimes, he sells them for about $125. None currently it seems.

Do you know if all the XA, XA2, or XA4 allow anytime of user control other than just aperture priority?
By the way, I love that picture. Its exactly the type of thing I am going for. Was it edited at all on the computer? Do you have anymore XA4 shots?
