Lomography selling pre-aged film

Now I don't love EVERYTHING about Lomography, but I sure get a kick out of them. That's a very creative group of folks, who are always thinking outside the box.

I too have a load of expired film in the freezer, but I never would have thought about trying to sell it as "Aged Like A Fine Wine" Good for them.
 
Soon eBay sellers will use "aged like fine wine" or ALFW in their expired film sale description and elevate the price a bit more.
 
I just saw this on "another network" too.

I didn't really care for the Ferrania I shot that came as Kroger house-branded film a while back. I seriously doubt it's improved with age! 🙂
 
Old stock film from Italy aged in wine in Czech Republic? Hello? Have you ever seen wine from Czech? To make me believe in this it needs to be in the opposite. Italian wine, Chezh film 🙂

I should put up my "aged" roll of Ektachrome 160T on ebay.
It was outdated by the turn of the milennium but kept in a fridge. Then I had it in my camera bag for about a year in Washington state, took it across the country and had it in my bag every day of DINFOS then through a 6 month deployment in Guam, through 10 months of field exercise and CS gas chamber training then a 6 month deployment in Iraq. After I got back to the states, it sat in the glovebox of my Jeep Cherokee for two years. It has since sat in two separate storage units for a total of three years and I just dug it out of a storage bin then found this thread.
Considering what it's been through, I'm convinced some fool will buy this roll for a small fortune...

Oh it does. People sells/buy expired film on ebay all the time 🙂


Personally I was given a lot of expired b/w film and decided its too variable for my taste. Most of it was badly fogged and wasted a lot of developer/shooting time with it so stopped messing with expired film.

I used to take old empty Polaroid SX70 film packs, and film them back up w pics I already took. Really easy, you just push them back in thru the light trap.
Then I would freak people out by taking pics of them w the pre exposed film!

You can also do this w current Instax film packs.
