Lonely Christmas Nights

I am so glad that I have started this thread; I get to hear so many encouragements and so many great stories, even mirror images (heard via PM).
There are times that no one can really help you, but knowing that there are people around who are on the same boat or simply hearing a "hang in there!" really makes some difference.
Thanks!
I wish all a Merry Christmas (if not too late) and a Prosperous New Year (the UK way?). RFF is definitely more than just a classroom for researching gears.

I'm glad you started it too.

Many of us have been there, at least once, sometimes repeatedly. As you say, There are times that no one can really help you, but knowing that there are people around who are on the same boat or simply hearing a "hang in there!" really makes some difference.

Hang in there...

Cheers,

R.

axiom...

I am sure that you are filling a need in someone's life now that cannot be filled any other way. Sometimes just being there is all that is required of us.🙂

Merry Christmas.

I am with my family in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We got lots of snow today, making it a "White Christmas", as it is called. It is comfortable, with a fire place and watching cartoons on TV much of each evening [kids wants to].

Well, life is in many ways about hanging in there, as several have referred to it above.

A fine Christmas to all you RFFers out there and good fortune in the New Year. We are semi-alone, my wife and I and our four cats this second Christmas in our new home. Both my parents are gone now, and they were the focus of seasonal celebrations that are now scattered. We do have some family a couple hours away over the mountains, and the rest are two states away in several directions. We do have a friend over for dinner today, but we feel the nostalgia, and increasing separation from family.

Home from the office today I'm enjoying more attention from my avatar cat Cinnamon Cindy, and the aromas lead to anticipation of a good meal with good company, with a few handouts for the felines.

Best to all!
