I was trying to suggest loneliness (as opposed to the pictorial "aloneness" of a subject) through the sharing of common space that is clear to the photographer, but not to the subjects... and in London 😎
In my humble submissions above, technology is the accessory to the already barren social space of the Tube... like the newspaper. I know its clichéd but it makes a change from talking about gear. 🙂
Anything can be portrayed as lonely, if it is captured alone with the word "lonely" in the title; but isn't social space the real loneliness? e.g.
