... a natural follow-up to "Waiting for the Mail"

In my case it was this very clean Jupiter 9, 85mm f2 lens, from Stu in NY. My RF purchases are winding down as I acquire the gear that I want. It'll be up to others to keep this thread going.

Very nice, Frank. Please post some pictures from it when you have the chance.

Kiev & J-9

Kiev & J-9

Hey Frank,

SNAP!

Just recieved this J-9 from dexdog... He said it is as good as his CZ 85/2.0 Sonnar, so I'm looking forward to the results!

Regards,

Peter

physiognomy, that chrome J-9 looks good on a black Kiev. I formerly used that J-9 on a Bessa R2C, and thought it was a good match.

Frank, if your gear acquisition and retention scheme doesn't include that summar that you were talking about in another post today, and you decide to get rid of it...keep me in mind. 😀

Does this mean people gave up drinking Coffee?

I got a J-8 and a J-3 in the mail yesterday. They will be going back out on Monday. Along with a Canon 7+J-3, Kodak Red Filter, and a repair part for a Retina IIa.

Wow, with the light meter and turret finder on top this starts to look really imposing. The lens size doesn't hurt the intimidation factor, either.

Though, isn't the reason we all buy rangefinders that we want them to be small and inconspicious?
Maybe just me.

OK - I just posted the CV 35 viewfinder today - should be with you in 10 days or so, Paul! (Depending on Customs. 🙄 )

The lovely thing about using rangefinders is that we can choose if we want to 'go commando' or to dress it up.

With an SLR you're always stuck with 'big'.

Frank: Now I am getting "feelings" for the J-9, just when I am nearly at the point of selling off a lot of lenses!
