Today a very classy RFF Forum baseball cap arrived in my mail.
It is well worth the wait.

The Mamiya 6 and 75mm lens are from user anaanda, who conducted an overseas transaction very professionally.
I just got the Nikon SB-30 flash today from another photographer in Singapore who frequents another forum. It's as small as a packet of cigarettes, folds down flat for storage, and has full manual controls as well as TTL auto flash with certain Nikon cameras.

Got my Vitessa L in the mail today - this is one solid heavy camera!
BTW Kingster - Good luck with your HiMatic 7s. I bought one new back in the 70's because I could not afford an SRT 101 system. It is one heck of a camera - I took many fantastic pictures and slides with it.

As a hardcore Nikonian, have you used the SB-30 before? Prior to this, I was working with the Vivitar 283 and 285. Then I found this SB-30 for only about 60USD. I'll be selling my Vivitars once I get back to the UK, I think.
This has to be the ultimate flash for rangefinder photography. I was playing with it all night and getting rather consistent exposures by setting the flash on non-TTL auto, holding it off camera in my left hand and bouncing the light around the room. I'd really like to hear more from anyone else who's used this little gem.
I'll be shooting a birthday party with the SB-30 + D70 (sorry, RFF!) this weekend.

Brand new Bessa R2 & 35/f2.5 Color Skopar came in a Brown truck this afternoon. A tidy little outfit. After all these years of using SLR's I'll have to make a strong mental effort to remember to remove the lens cap.
One small disappointment...the Abrahamson soft release that I ordered with it won't work, The diameter is too large; it hits the shutterspeed dial before the shutter trip point is reached. Oh well, there's always the Dremel.
Edited to add:
Just got an e-mail from Rich @ Photo Village about the release. I ordered the wrong one by mistake and he's going to swap it out for me. Great customer service.

Yesterday and today my latest purchases arrived: a Minolta CLE flash and an Orion-15 in Kiev mount. Both where bought on Ebay. In the past I have bought some items on Ebay that I was really happy with, but I don't think I ever got a 'bargain' (in the sense of: lower than market value). This time was different:
The CLE flash was advertised as "working the last time I used it a few years ago" and later the seller added that he tested it, but that it didn't work. I was the only bidder and got it for 1 Euro + shipping. Cleaning the contacts revived it within minutes of arrival.
The Orion-15 was advertised as LTM and had a BIN of 169 USD + shipping. The same seller had one without BIN, but also wrongly marked as LTM. It went for 100 USD more.

Back from visiting my parents and there were 2 postal slips waiting for me! On one, 23 duty was charged, on the other, I owed $275! Off to the post office i went. The $23 package was the Nikon S from Butch. The other contains my M2 and CL which were returning from Sherry Krauter for a little attention. The package was clearly labelled "Return from Repair". The Canada Customs guy only looked at the insured value however, and figured that I owe $275 to get my own cameras back. With a heavy heart, I instructed the postal clerk to return the package to Canada Customs to contest the duty charge. It'll be another week or so to get it back! Argh!
In the meantime, I have this Nikon to play with. Yeah!
