Warm, lush, glowing tubes. Tubes good.
I don't know much about amps, but I really would have thought Peavey, in that era, was pretty much all solid state. Enjoy it man, I bet it totally screams.

pink floyd on vynil through tube amps makes me horny.
the last audio toy i bought was a Rega planar(with new grado gold head) record player which I am listening to now(sergeant pepper)

im pretty sure that most peaveys of the eighties were all tube amps, and although it does not literally go to 11, this head is known for its loudness, having 60 watts more than the average marshall head. and this is one more setback instead of getting that cl that ive been wanting.

I appreciate it

My one and only amp is a Peavey Classic 30 (bought in 1998) ... did me very well along with my Les Paul and Strat; even against a big band it still could hold its own (swing big band... not rock)

Too bad I don't play it much anymore ... one tube needs replacing :(

MMM Tubes. I have an old tube amp (as in for connecting tape deck, turntable etc) I spent two years tracking down tubes for. Beats anything modern by a mile. Yay for tubes.

wow

wow

great metal amp.

Let me know if you need some new 6L6 tubes!!

it came in the mail today, and i can easily say this is the best sounding and loudest amp ive ever played out of, even after owning two marshall and two mesa boogie amps.

I see we have some audiophiles here. Anyway, I'm drooling over your tube amp.
I have a Rotel amp from the 90s/ Not tube, but its very sweet anyway. Thinking of adding a Bellari phono (tube) amp to see if it can improve the sound from my turntable. Any ideas?

ive never seen the bellari preamp in person, but they do look nice. if you want to save some money, you can get build it yourself kits from bottlehead.com

ive had that site bookmarked for years, but have yet to order one..

My father used to repair instruments and tube amps...nothing beats them. I even have a little radio I built using a 12AX7 preamp tube....

You guys are killing me! I used to own a Linn Sondek LP 12 turntable, a delicious McIntosh amp and some killer Epos speakers. Alas, I lost it all, and the LP collection in the divorce. Now I'm down to a crummy Sony mid-fi stack system. I so dream of having a nice hi-fi rig again.
