Looking Back at Summer in the '60s (PHOTOS)

...it started many years ago that sometimes I found myself making some mental remarks about the times, the society, the.... and soon think "ohhh this is what my father was thinking when I was young and I thought that he was thinking in that way simply because he was old..."

The wheel his still spinning :)

It is a relative thing that most generations seem to go through and I'm no different of course being in my sixties.

Since I was born the earth's population has trebled, we have wiped out 80% of the planet's animal diversity and if you accept science and not conspiracy theories we are well on the way to destroying our own environment to the point where it may actually be too late to reverse the changes.

For most of the life on this planet the good old days would probably be any time before humans started their rampant spread across the globe!

IIRC tranquilizers were also pretty widely prescribed as well.

I always liked the name "Miltown".

Although I never in my life seen a Miltown tablet, the name reminds me of a 1950s suburbia subdivision like Levittown, as in Levittown Pennsylvania.

I have a fondness for 1950s Americana , even though I am Canadian.

In sixteens my parents received FED-2 as wedding gift. But not many pictures were taken.

In 2018 my father was kicked out from job he was since sixties. His re-calculated (not so long time ago) rocket engine turbines which are flying in the rocket engines into the space.
In 1961, April 12 Gagarin went to the space. They were calculating it with logarithmic rulers.
Korolev who was behind of these flights and calculations died same year I was born, in sixties. They couldn't install breathing tube because his both jaws were broken before they placed him in Gulag.

My mother and father lived in the basement not so far from Kremlin is sixties. They have to share it with prostitute.

Here is the story and some pictures of The Novocherkassk massacre in 1962.

People were asking for bread and butter...

"Miltown" sounds like it could be a community based on a sawmill! And a town where not too much else happens . . .

My instincts were on the right track, as I just found out that the drug's brand name was named after Milltown New Jersey, which is a borough in Middlesex county in New Jersey.

Either teach young people or date young people or both. Best inoculation against this old fuddy-duddy thinking in my experience. It's a revelation how great the young people today are despite living in very reduced circumstances compared to previous generations (at least the ones I know). The time, environment, and society are mostly being destroyed by the old people in charge, as has been the case for as long as I can remember.
