looking for 50 summicron rigid or dual range

aganiban, Cron's appear hear on RFF regularly in the classified section - often at modest prices (by Leica standards) and most sellers here are quite reliable. That would be my first stop if I had the spare change to buy one these days.

i have had tried the Zeiss Planar and own Voigtlander VM 50/1.5 but its currently glued to my m4. I just wanted something to match my m3 and its limitation of the min focus distance of 1m. also how is the Leica Summicron 2/5cm collapsible with it?

If you want to focus closer than 1m with your M3 and have essentially a 'dual range cron' you can always go for the collapsible Summicron and a SOOKY-M / SOMKY-M close up device. These are fairly inexpensive ($100-$160 recently on ebay) and the collapsible lenses are a lot less than DR Crons or Rigid Crons.

The same caveats apply to the collapsible, however. It's getting more and more difficult to find examples with clean glass. So many are fogged and/or scratched. But they can be found if you're patient.
