Thanks for the tip, unfortunately its an asherical. I really want the pre-asph version, very compact.

Since you are looking for a pre asph. you probably already know that there are as many opions on the 35 Summilux as there are versions if not more. I like your choice for the same reasons. I haven't used mine enought to see if I was right. You might find this interesting http://members.aol.com/dcolucci/a.htm . Lots of luck finding one one. If you get one taking the series VII filter , the filter fits in the appropriate Leica hood. The hood screws apart to accept the filter. Bit of a pain but seems to work OK.

Found One, now I can rest easy until I start to itch for the 75/1,4
