Hi, I'm going to buy a sony nex5 to use with my m-mount lenses (via adapter).

unfortunately the crop factor turns my tiny summicron 35 in a 50mm...

so I decided to look for a 28mm small and fast.

is the ultron 28 f2 so big in comparison with zeiss 28 f2.8 and elmarit 28 f2.8 v.3??

I'd like to have a 1-stop-advantage but I need a relatively small lens...

Hi -- The 28 Summicron ASPH is smaller than the last non-ASPH 28 Elmarit; it's the newer 28 Elmarit ASPH that is the small one of these three. But the Ultrons are faster than the Elmarits of course. I've not used either Ultron, but I understand the f/2 is smaller than the f/1.9, while the f/1.9 is preferred for better performance on digital. You might search RFF for previous threads discussing these lenses.

The 1.9 is only small after you purchase the 35/1.2.

I know new elmarit is smaller, but it's too expensive for my needs (I don't like 28mm on 35mm, I will probably use it only with nex5)

for what I read biogon and old elmarit are 4cm long, is ultron much longer?

Check out the Images section in the Cosina Voigtlander section. There is 28 1.9 thread with some images with the 28 1.9.
