Looking for Agfa APX 100

Check with Downtown Camera in Toronto. They have Silvertone 100 (same thing as APX) for about $2.50CDN per roll of 24 or APX (you get a fancy box) for about double that.

Henry's has it in stock as well.
They want an extra 70 cents a roll though.
I think both also have APX 100 in 100 foot rolls for about $45 if you want to bulk load.

Now that Agfa's gone the demand for Agfa film seems to be higher than what it was when they still tried to sell it. Luckily they produced at least twice than what could be sold and stocks will last for a couple of years :)

From what I've heard there's enough around to meet demand through 2010.

No doubt about that, they've produced a years demand of B/W film in one or two month. The problem was the state of the art tooling, the mashines where to fast for what was left of a market then. Probably even more so today.

They could have produced a years demand of one emulsion in 24 hours but had to pay workers and interest etc.pp. 356 days a year.

Edit:

by the way, Forte ceases productiton, the owners sold the real estate which brought them more money than producing film.

I am looking for any Agfa APX 100.
Got any you wanna sell?
Let me know a price including shipping.

Try Freestyle Photographic supply www.freestylephoto.biz 36 exp for $2.00
100ft bulk $25.00 they call it "arista-II" but its APX-100 expire date in 2010. I took out a loan and bought about 15 100ft rolls :D, Great stuff should last me awhile. Dave

Well after a week of searching, I've been able to find probably a 1000 rolls of 35mm film. I am really trying to find medium format.

If you know of any shop that has any, please email me the info asap.

thanks.

David, if you want to get rid of some of the 35mm you found, let me know...I'll have money on Tuesday. I'm almost out of ISO 100 B&W and it snowed here. ;)

Chris, I do appreciate the offer but $8 a roll is a bit silly when it is selling for $3.50 a roll on ebay. It's just a matter of time before I find some very reasonably priced film.

Good luck with the sale.

well you might use Rollei Retro 100 it's said that it's the same as Apx100 with the difference that it's still produced ;)
I couldn't test that yet, as I still have some apx.

There are few 100ft roll from Ultrafine on ebay. I just boght 1 reel last week for about $25+. It can reel 18 at least for 36exp, so it is about 1.4 per roll.

I just bought two 100 ft. rolls of Arista 50 at a rate of $10.50 each from Freestyle.
