I'm selling my M2. Perfect (optical/mecanical) working condition. For the cosmetic condition, some pictures here:
It's not in perfect condition, there are signs of use, but i's a pretty nice camera (some RFF members have seen it Nico, Gabriel, Kully, Emilgil, Michiel ...)
But it's in France. Anyway, if you're interested, let me know.

Bob you can see pictures in Marc's post here :

That's a nice looking M2!
You can probably ask for a delivery in England : no canadian taxes at the border then.

I've seen Marc's M2 - it's in good nick. Certainly not a 'beater' but an excellent user.

So, if I buy a camera from someone in France and have it shipped to an address in England, there would be no import tax/duty charged? I assume that would also include any other EU country like the Netherlands, etc. It would certainly go quite a way (14%!) towards leveling the playing field with North American prices.
I'm debating whether to look into the M4 and M6 as well. I always thought the M4 was a bit overpriced because of the novelty aspect of being the last "true" Leica, especially without a meter. However, it does look damn fine
The M6 would also be great, but I think it's probably beyond my RF budget in the near future.

You should ask Marc about it. I left Europe too long ago to be up to date with their tax system but I believe between countries in the EU there is no tax.

Indeed, between European countries there's no more duty. I bought several lenses and cameras (up to 550€) in Germany and I've never paid anything (conversely, I bought a Planar NIB in the US and I paid the max. custom duty; I sold it to a member in Romania who didn't pay anything).
Cheers,
Marc

Well I know there should be no duty between EU countries (4.5% otherwise on 35mm cameras), but will they charge VAT? Can anyone in the UK confirm this?

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear: I didn't pay any tax (duty+VAT) for items I bought in Germany. Now, I don't know if there's a special legislation in the UK ... those Brits don't do anything as the rest of the world
