My name is Marc. This is my first post here. I used to frequent a website by a gentleman who specialized in Feds, Zorkis and Kievs. His site was informative and inspiring. His hobby was "refinishing" FSU rangefinder cameras by removing chrome down to the base metal and repainting them. He also put on new leather coverings etc. The most detailed part of the site was on the Fed cameras with all there sub-models. I last visited about a year ago. Does anyone know which site I am describing? I "Googled" but hav'nt had any luck. Maybe the site no longer exists. Thank you for any help.

I know that exact site. I had it in my faves.
I just went through them all and there's 2 that don't work anymore.
The site had a sort of sand coloured background I think and one of the cameras was a black FED2 with red lettering I think.
I think it must be down as it was one of the first sites you found when you googled fed4.

was it fzorkis website? I think the previous poster w3rk5 refered to another post where there is a link to archived version of that website.

I think it was called Rangefinder Cameras of the Soviet Era. That's the one with a lot of info on the FED 2 seires, custom painted cameras, camera coverings, ect. The link I provided above is the archived version like Ivan mentioned.
