Thankyou, that is a very good website, plenty there to consider.
Thanks Peter. I decided against that camera, I don't really want to pay the premium for the white face, not being a collector.
I can't really decide if I need the 2.8F, the 3.5 seems wonderful but I keep being tempted by the faster lens. I looked up the weight of the cameras and they seem to be the same but I read the 3.5 is lighter. I'm not sure how useful it is to have a meter on board the camera either, I would ask about accuracy. I never used a hand held meter but it can't be too difficult.
I'm thinking about a 2.8F 3rd version in Germany at the moment, good working meter nearly mint £1,250..which seems a lot compared to prices on the Classic camera website link above which I will look through now..after a dog walk, I have had the bit between my teeth for a few days and have become a little obsessed
Many thanks again.

2.8, C D or E models are all viable more affordable options (especially if a prism is not desirable in the case of C & D 2.8s). Condition is everything. Don't be blinded by the lure of the F model to the exclusion of all others.

I'll sell you mine! I have 2 and times is tough. Bought it, had it overhauled. It has had one roll through it since Mark Hansen worked it over. See at http://www.flickr.com/photos/23693622@N05

If the OP is willing to pay the price, and wants a modern Rolleiflex, then I'd personally be all over a GX.

Hello.I have been looking for a nice late version 2.8F or 3.5F Rolleiflex for a little while in the UK with no luck. I realise these cameras are quite sort after..
I have been checking regularly on Ebay and the websites of Aperture, Ffordes, and Peter Loy..I would be very grateful for suggestions for other places where I may find my camera
Many thanks.
All those places have them, ebay has loads. Is it more that you want a cheap one? Find a decent one and be prepered to pay top money for it, you will not regret it.

Hi,
Buying from abroad also means you'll pay tax and duty and an eight pound fee. They lump them all together so you pay tax (VAT at 20%) on the total cost of the item and postage and packing and duty. (Duty is about 5% on the total cost of the item and postage and packing.)
Best to stick to the UK or EU and know what the price will be without surprises from the postman. I got one the other day. I bought something from the USA for about forty quid delivered and the postman wanted about fifteen quid and I had to drive into town to collect it with a passport and cash (only). Great fun...

PS This is the place to go for Rollei repairs www.klcamerarepairs.co.uk/ he may even have some for sale.
