Looking to buy an R-D1. Please View.

Hey,

I'm a Canadian photographer looking to buy an Epson R-D1. One of my good friends owns several Leica lenses that work with the R-D1, but now all I need is the camera. In all honesty, I think I'd want the M8 more than anything, but because of the price, I'm willing to go for the R-D1. Until now, I've never used a digital rangefinder before, but i'm very eager to buy one. If you have a used one that you're trying to sell, then please send me a message... on this forum or to brody_leblanc@hotmail.com. or if you have a tip on where I can find a new R-D1, then please let me know. If you don't live in North America, then it's fine. I would't mind paying a crazy shipping fee for this camera. Any help would be awesome,

They come up fairly regularly in the classifieds here. There is also a want to buy section of the classifieds. You might want to reconsider putting your email address in a public forum as you may get an RD-1 out of it but you will surely get a ton of spam as well.

Ah, have patience.

I'm in Canada, and I bought one from an RFF (or was it LUG?), who had two RD-1's that were refurbs from Epson.

It came to me with the RF misaligned, as I thought it would, through the shipping. I suspected that it would mis-align, from reading all the reviews.

So no surprise and I re-aligned it myself. But since then, it's been perfect.

So they come up, through here or LUG. Both are more trustworthy than ebay.
