Looks like Sigma starting to show the dp2 Quattro around

I've been browsing that Flickr search, and I can't say I'm too excited. Lowlight looks much cleaner. And the shots do look more filmic than cmos. Could it be that the rendering from this camera is smoother than the merrill cameras? Maybe less overtly sharp (and noisy), and more pleasant? Less of the Foveon "look" perhaps.

Anyway, here's what I really meant to post (a DP2Q test run available in the US): http://www.sigmaphoto.com/sigma-dp2...ail&utm_term=0_34bfa8ccd3-a2ac4ab9a4-50581417

Only 100 cameras available to test. Only for one week/5 days. Requires a 999usd deposit. Around 300 participants from June 30 to July 31. So if you mean to test it, hop on it now (as it is a first-come/first-serve type of deal).

Shop I got my dp1/2m has the DP2 Quattro listed as "delivery 6 weeks". Same for the hood, optical viewfinder, battery, power supply and charger.
