The barrel on my lens seems to be loose and there is quite a bit of play.
I noticed it a little while ago when the aperture ring would go past the f1.5 position.
I looked around in here but most of the threads related to this kind of problem seem to have expired links. But it sounds like it might be something that is fixable without having to take in to the repair shop.
Anyway, there are links to photos of what's happening below. If anyone could give me any guidance on how to proceed or even a general estimate if they have had this fixed professionally it would be greatly appreciated.

Ooooh! That hurts.
You probably need to remove the front elements and you should find some screws that have come loose. That seems to be the most common reason for this type of complaint though I've not had it happen to mine so have never taken mine apart.
