POSTI-Tuomo
Level 1 Camera Repairman
What an unlucky person I am! I managed to lose the other lens of my eyeglasses. Sure enough, I was delivering mail as usual and the lens popped right off the frame! And it landed in some deep snow, to be lost forever . I did search for it, but only got my hands frozen... :bang:
So I continued my rounds as always, experiencing cool things with my impaired vision. It was really weird, I tell you: My eyesight was not quite blurred, but not sharp either. It was kinda in-between and my brain was having a tough time putting those two images from my eyes together. Urgh.
Eventually I got all of the mail delivered (hopefully to correct addresses!) and started figuring out a way to devise a stop-gap measure to block view from the other eye. The payday is Wednesday, so I'll have to get by for two days. I remembered those cool eyepatches that we used to have as kids when we were playing pirates and such. I didn't find appropriate materials to make an eyepatch myself, so I improvised a bit: http://www.kolumbus.fi/posti.tuomo/kuvat/imagedump/yarr.jpg
That's the lens cap from my Olympus C5050Z, covers my right eye just perfectly (41 mm, gotta make a mental note for the future). This will have to do for now. I am seriously considering a move from eyeglasses to contact lenses. It'll make it easier to look through the Zorki viewfinder, too!
