Hello,

one my friend lost the eyeglass from its Hexar RF. Will a Leica will fit to replace it? where can he buy an original?

Regards!

Near impossible to find. It is not just any piece of glass, but a diopter glass that makes sure your image is focused. Fitting any other piece of glass will leave you with a blurry viewfginder.

You may be in luck here with someone having a spare, or maybe try Japan Exposures.

Good luck!

Thanks!

You seem to have been thru this before...
Do you think the eyepiece from the Hexar AF can fit the RF?

There was quite comprehensive thread on this here at RFF some time ago. It would be worthwhile searching for it I think.

You have to admire their creative way to get a new part "The high price results from the situation that Konica does not sell the part on its own, even though anyone is able to screw it on by himself. We have thus maintain a Hexar RF camera that we send in to Konica for "repair" to have the lost eyepiece replaced. This is very costly and tie-consuming, resulting in the high cost."
