love at first sight! the ona bowery

Yes, and we like that... 🙂

The Ona is a very fine bag. A little less space the BBB to throw in, but that is what I expected. On the other hand its a lot more padded and thats important for me.

B&H kept slipping the delivery date on my Ona Bowery order, "back-ordered stock" was what I kept getting, so I cancelled the order.

I'll order direct from Ona when my bank account recovers from the latest excesses. ;-)

for a small kit, the bowery is my favourite bag...i have always wanted a great leather bag though and now there is one available!
i'm tempted to use my c.c. but that would be insane till i find work...but i am selling some bags to see if i can get close...

Don't buy on credit if you are not working. Only ever use credit when you're not working for emergency essentials, with a plan so that you know exactly when you'll pay it off, and execute that plan. That's my rule having gone through a few years of hell in the Great Recession.

Leather is nice, but I prefer waterproofed cloth for bags. They're generally more comfortable to wear and a little lighter.

The Bowery seems to be a trim cross between the Billingham L2 "Alice" and the Domke F5XB, two of my favorite bags, with the added plus of a removable strap over the Billy, and no zipper over the Domke.

i have the L2 and it's a great bag...the bowery just happens to be the size/shape that i always imagined when i was using the 5xb...and no zipper!
the canvas bowery is very light so a bit heavier, in leather, would be ok, for me.

i just sold my new porteen bag and the retro 5 is about to go on the block as well.

that still leaves me the L2 and the f1.4 billinghams, a think tank citywalker 30 and a rally 5 by tamrac...plus i can sell the canvas bowery when the lether one shows...if i buy it, that is...i should sell my lowepro exchange messenger too!

Joe, I had my eye on that bag for a while now. Would it feel a TLR (Yashica MAT) and a Zeiss Ikon with a 35 and a 50?

i think the yachica mat would fit upright and if so then the zm should fit too...but i'm not sure about about a 2nd. lens.
mu guess is no on the extra lens.

i can fit both fujis with lenses attached or one body with lens and 2 more lenses.

Yeah, that is cool. It means it would also fit my two Nex's with Sigma's 30/2.8 and 19/2.8 attached and Sony 50/1.8.

But I can't decide, leather or not :bang:
