Lowepro Terraclime 100--Anyone?

I was checking this bag out the other day and initial reaction was--nice size, but would benefit from inserts.

Anyone use this bag for a RFer camera and some accessories, and if you have inserts, which ones and what size? I'm thinking my MP with 35 or 50 dr cron attached, the other lens and some assorted stuff for a day of shooting.

I have this bag. Its not all that large, but I love it. I generally put my two M two cameras in it back to back, with a lens attached, my meter one additional lens and some film. In the two front pouches I put my cell phone and ipod, and my wallet and keys goes in the inner pouch. It works really well for me, especially after I take out one camera for shootig.

I got the Terraclime 100 bag and the A&A insert. Perfect. I think I've finally found MY RFer bag! Seriously, it's perfect for me.

A tad longer than the Domke F-5XB and a little bit taller. No velcro. No zipper. The insert fits perfectly inside and yet still have easy access to the zipper pocket inside.

I have a terraclime and have been carrying it around Paris this week. Works very well, managed to get my M2 and my Panasonic G1 in as long as I got my Girlfriend to carry water and shopping.

Where can I got a well fitting insert in the UK? The wrap is useful, but I find it more useful when used separately from the bag.

I have the terraclime. It's a nice little bag, with emphasis on the little. I usually carry an M8 with lens attached, a spare lens and a Minilux. I like the camera wrap that comes with it.

It is fine for me. I carry my M3 + 50 Summarit-M, 28mm f/2.8 ASPH, Lunasix meter, some spare IXMOOs and a couple of filters. It has covered about 5,000 km with me on my bike. I love it.

It will, instead, hold my Rolleicord and Lunasix and plenty of film, filters, hood, etc. I'm pondering buying a spare for 15 or 20 years from now, when it won't be on the market.

It's [almost] a poor man's Domke F-803. Emphasis on the poor. And almost.

Hi all,
thanks to the positive reviews on RFF I got myself a Terraclime 100, too. Very good value for the money, I agree. I can add that it is also very useful for carrying a Rolleicord. The velcro pad that comes with the bag is very generously sized. It fits a Rolleicord easily, even with mounted lens shade if one wished to do that. I find the height of the bag very useful for Rollei/Rangefinder-purposes: A Rolleicord/flex can be transported either flat on the back or "standing" easily, any which way one likes. If the bag were any taller it would not help (me) much, would just serve to make the bag more unwieldy: any additional items would need to be stacked on top of each other, which would defeat the purpose of a light, unpadded carry-and-grab-bag. So, I find the dimensions ideal for a light rangefinder outfit, or a combination of rangefinder and TLR. Two padded TLR would also fit, with a bit room to spare.
Just my two cents.

Can the bag be opened quickly with one hand? The 2 clasps look kludgey. I've been considering the tenba small messenger bag. It comes in a lot of different colors but it is larger than the terraclime. The next size smaller terraclime looks interesting but may be a little small, but it does have just one clasp for faster opening.

Yes. It's the first time I come across this fastening-system, but I find it quite intuitive. CLOSING the bag with one hand is trickier, since you need to "thread" the clasp through the loop. Can be done, too, but not in a hurry. I really like it.
If you are worried about it being two clasps: in practice you could leave one clasp open, the flap will still be in place safely enough. The good thing about this clasp/loop design is that it is totally quiet. With a conventional plastic/plastic-clasp, an open clasp may make a clacking noise every step you take (my everyday Vaude-bag does that if not fastened).

I like the fastening system actually, quite secure and as previously stated, quiet.

I had been considering sewing some velcro on, but realised that closing the clasps with the velcro would cause issues.

Good size bag. Logo patch and contrasting strap system make it look cluttered. If you could remove both and add a magnetic clasp it seems like a great bag.

I was checking this bag out the other day and initial reaction was--nice size, but would benefit from inserts.

So in the meantime I finally got a Billingham Hadley Small, and can now confirm (pictures will have to wait, I am sorry) that the insert for the Hadly Small fits the Lowe Terraclime 100 very nicely.
You can even swap a fully filled insert from one bag to the other without trouble. The Terraclime is slimmer and more streamlined, but the disadvantage is that you will have trouble fitting the number of rolls of film etc. which the front pockets of the Hadley Small will take. And: the Terraclime has a good clasp system for the main flap, but it is not adjustable in length. With a fully loaded insert, clasping the flap shut is a tight fit. Not a show-stopper, but a tight fit.

What fits: I have not experimented much so far, but had no trouble fitting the dividers to give me three compartments:
- Elmarit 90mm f2.8 with reversed hood (mounted it would fit, too)

- M2 with collapsible Summicron, collapsed but with makeshift shade mounted. Could be stored uncollapsed too, will see how I will actually use it

- M2 with Summaron 35 f2.8.

Film, handheld meter and filters etc. in the front pockets. Room to spare for a notebook etc. in between the insert and the bag itself.
