Can anyone tell me how to clone out scratches (i.e. not dust but elongated scratch lines) with LR3? I remember someone recently posting that it can be done in some manner with the clone/heal toll and using the SHIFT key somehow. Thanks for the help.

I just use multiple overlapping clone circles when I want to remove an elongated scratch in LR. I start by setting the clone tool to healing then choose a size based on the area around the scratch. The more open empty space around the scratch the larger the size I use. If I don't feel the LR has done a good job in choosing an area to sample from I move the sample area around to find an areas that's a better match.
Note: If an area looks OK but its just not quit there. Try selecting an area just out side of that clone circle then move the new Clone circle on top of that.
