Here's an odd one. I have about 600 Nikon NEF files and Olympus ORF files in a LR3 Db that I am trying to export to a folder of JPGs. LR3 allows for certain size restrictions upon conversion and I want the folks who are receiving the pix on CD to be able to e-mail them, so I placed a pretty sever size limitation on the output files (200K jpgs from pretty large raw files). About 30 of the files were not converted, could not be converted by LR3. Hmm. Go back and relax the size restriction to 1000K. Now about 9 files can't be converted. Relax the size restriction further to 3000K; now the remaining files convert. But there didn't seem to be any difference that I could discern between the files that would convert and those that wouldn't. The ORF files needed substantial tweaking in LR3; the NEF files needed almost none (just a pinch of saturation). In each case it was a sequential set of images from a series with basically the same values (exposure, color balance, scene) that refused to convert.
Any ideas?

Really odd. I have not yet had a single problem converting an ORF.
I'd put this on the Lightroom forum at Adobe...

While I tested LR3 I tried the export with a max. file size but LR just ignored the setting. So I think there is a general bug with that option.
