LTM adapter differencies

I recently aquired R2a and as I own only LTM lenses I had to get two LTM-M adapters.
As Bessa has only the switch for frame lines I didn't really care for what adapters I got, everything seems to work ok.

But now I borrowed CV 15/4.5 from my friend and noticed that the build in lens shade is crooked. After a few minutes thought I tried my two other ltm-adapters to lens and the CV own 50/75 adapter puts it fairly straight on the camera.
Then I started look my own lenses and noticed that the Canon 50/1.4's focus point is way on the other side of the lens when it is attached to camera. Again tried other adapters and now the no-label adapter brought the lens quite straight on the camera. Leitz and CV adapters were putting the lens crooked position on the camera.
This is not a big problem on the canon, as there is now shade and no focusing knob.

So is there any rule what adapter to use? Or is just dump luck what adapter will fit on what lens?

It is normal for the Canon 50/1.4 to be slightly rotated towards the VF when using an adapter.

This may sound like heresy, but if all you own are LTM lenses, you only need one LTM to M adapter to fit all of your lenses to your Bessa R2a.

Since, it has manually selected frame lines, just leave the LTM adapter mounted to the camera and use it as you would a LTM camera unless you really need the quick release feature of a bayonet lens.

In other words, keep it simple.

There are no rules. I have both Leica an no-name adapters. All seem to work on most bodies. The only one that doesn't is one of the Leica adapters (doesn't lock).

I much prefer to have one adapter on each lens, for speed and convenience, but as I have more lenses than adapters, I do switch 'em round. Remember that there are 3 types of adapter, and they're not always marked clearly. The numbers in bold should always be there, but there may be others too:

One brings us 50mm/5cm frames, + 75mm if your camera has 'em.

One brings up 90mm/9cm frames, + 28mm if your camera has 'em.

One brings up 35mm/3,5cm (M2) or 135mm/13,5cm (M3) or both (M4-M7) + 24mm on the M8.

The exact location of the start of the threads on the adapter is hard to control, especially on the lower-priced adapters. That sets where the focus mark lands on the camera. Many are intended to be towards the viewfinder, so that you could see them around the VIDOM or VIOOH/Imarect finder.
