Bad iPhone pic, but this is what I have with me right now (Leica III with CV 21mm Color Skopar and 21/25mm finder):

Looks like a nice outfit! Congratulations !!

My "daily driver" LTM is a 1934 III (chrome, s/n 134xxx, usually shooting a 1940 Elmar 35mm. Was kind of a ratty-looking e-bay camera, but it has turned-out to be a good shooter. Haven't exactly found it to be a babe-magnet, but that's not what I'm trolling for...

Well I done gone and did it. Just snagged a IIIa with matching Summar 😀

Both are going to need a CLA but I would have done that regardless.

Who is better with the Barnacks DAG or Youxin? What does a CLA run for one of these little jewels?

Can't wait!

Ran my first roll through it this past weekend. I'll post a few up tonight. It was nice, no one noticed me taking pictures. Had some focus issues that I think had to do with being inside the close focus distance. Used sunny 16 and memorized exposures and didn't have anything horribly out of whack.

The jury is still out on the squinty finder though.....

Here are the two best from the roll. I one got 17 shots out of the roll as I was "extra careful" with the loading:

Aunt Pete (aka Aunt Dorothy) 92 years old:

Aunt Pete with my youngest daughter Abby - they are the bookends of 4 generations that span 91 years:

1937 IIIa with matching 50 Summar collapsible on Kodak 400CN process and scan at local CVS. All I did was rotate and resize.
