Of course, I already had a Pentax M39 to M42 adapter and a Pentax #1 extension tube, but I did pay 27 cents for the washer to mount a free disposable camera lens (used) from Costco on my Leica IIIf. Here is the lens on the camera and also two images. I hope Chris101 see this:

Makes you think twice about the thousands you can spend on equipment. I guess my philosophy is to have fun taking pictures no matter what I use, and I love seeing projects and "hacks" like this.
John, you should consider getting a jumbo sharpie to black out the washer before you bring this lens to market.

Good name chippy, as it is still in the development stage and with my R&D department working on other projects I feel it will be quite some time before it comes to market. And it is F8.

To take this a stage further can anyone post any pictures taken without using any lens at all? ie some sort of pinhole attangement on ltm?

The lenses on the newer disposables are pretty good.
They are high quality molded plastic with a high degree of correction, not simple meniscus lenses.
All the BS bandied about here about the qualities of ancient screw mount lenses could be easily dispelled with blind tests of the prints from cheapo lenses like these and the "Leica glow" from the oldies.
And Tamrons, Sigmas, etc primes are easily as good as numerous Leica lenses.

Is the lens glued to the washer?

Thanks all, but the biggest obstacle was avoiding getting shocked by the flash unit. FEENEJ, no, the lens and its mounting are glued to the washer. I'm actually a little disappointed in this lens, I wanted something a little more like a Holga lens. With photoshop, and I didn't use any on these files, it can be further sharpened and with focus magic it is too good. These files were from Costco and heavy histogram to the left, my own scans when I get around to it will be more full tone.
Edit: Maybe I'll pop for another 27 cents and try to find a Brownie lens.

"dollar store" magnifying glass lenses might get you closer--a bit over your 27¢ budget but I have seen sets of three in various sizes...
