Very nice. I have a black version without the LCD cutout. It adds a bit of bulk to the camera but certainly adds some protection when setting the camera down in a "hostle" environment. Incredbile workmanship too. Congratulations.
P.S. - I just noticed yours is made a little differently than mine. (Different model I guess.) Still "top shelf" quality.

Beautiful- I have the Luigi normal case for my RD-1.Now you need the strap!

That's the same case I have. It is great. I have a screen protector so I often leave the snap-off screen cover at home when I shoot.
** EDIT ** Sorry, I've got the more expensive case handstitched case! Just took a closer look at the pix.

My luigi half case is working good, except, the cover red fabric inside has been worn out by the snap on metal bottom , and it scratched off the paint on my R-D1 close to the wheel......Luigi has to do better then this.......

Hi Hannitect,
Of course, I am concerned for what you are describing... Sincerily, it's not so
clear to me what happened ! Seem to me that, perhaps, one of the inner round
LEATHER (not fabric) small round protective patches that we carefully GLUE
on and around the inner snap's surface, may have unglued, then removed
by the friction with the camera edge, right ? If so...
- Only you had the chance to notice that, and better fit it with a fraction
of a drop of glue, or...
- If it has been LOST somewhere (strangely, but may happen), it was and IS
enough to replace it (temporarily) with a small square of soft tape, and to
ask me by email the (some) replacements, what I would have immediately
sent to you for free, as I am ready to do, and I will, of course !
Please, let me know, emailing me the COLOUR of your case lining, and your
complete name and shipping address.
The cases, MY cases, as a shirt (buttons), a shoe, a car, may need a small
"care operation" for which you may count on my attentive help !

Congrats on the cool case. Btw, it's easy to loose the snap on cover (I did and got a replacement part from Luigi).

In fact:
- In the inner part of the case, as pictured, the round glued leather protector IS in his proper place.
I exclude that the camera may have been damaged by the soft suede leather !!!
- The fitted strap is one of the damn with the HARD plastic triangle, which are even harmful for the
camera METAL corners, and are terrible for the camera finished in paint ! The R-D1 (and Bessas)
are very delicate, in their finishes. Again, I am sure that the signs are NOT due to the inner leather !
Please, let me know clearly your thoughts. Explain me better !
