Luigi Strap for Rolleiflex 3.5F

OK, here goes...this is a STYLE question only. I have acquired a Rolleiflex 3.5F Type 3 early production 6 element Planar with Maxwell screen. I love to use this camera for urban/rural strolling. It came with a mint condition made in Germany beautiful case and strap. The strap is also in mint condition but is too short and thin for my comfort. As the alligator clips can be used with both the camera and case unlike other straps, I have decided to send the clips to Luigi in Italy to get one of his straps made. This of course sacrifices the strap. That much is decided already. The question is: should the color be brown to match the case, or black to match the camera? Assume equal usage of both setups. Please address the question only. Thanks for your style opinions.

If you're going to use the Luigi strap with the case, brown. I have a black strap but I rarely (almost never) use the case. Contact Luigi before you cut off the clips. He didn't need mine several years ago because he had found a supplier for just the clips.

The alligator clips rivets do SCRATCH the viewfinder edges with time... so another system (leather loops strap or thin nylon strap secured through the camera bars) will be preferable eventually.

Only catch is that it's 480 Euros for a full Luigi case 🙂
