Luigi's new camera bags

Luigi's half-cases are wonderful, judging from the one I have for my Hexar RF. Also, it seems Luigi is a good guy, judging from my dealings with him and the reports of others who've dealt with him. If one of his products is not to your taste, that's no reason for mockery, is it?

Eh, I can understand where you're from. BTDTGTFTS. Still as I've mutated into an old fart, I find I like the little things that make my shooting easier. And one thing that my Luigi case does is make it more easy and pleasant to go out shooting. I got a half case to protect the camera, a sling (er, shoulder strap) that I can use to brace a shot like I would a rifle shot, and I have two spare roll holders on it as well. I can go out the door with my camera, it's glorious 50/1.8 & 108 shots of whatever film I care to have with me.

It wasn't an easy thing for me to buy. It is, literally, the single most expensive camera related item I have ever purchased for myself. No camera, no lens, no nothing has cost me more...

99.9999999999999% of the time I am just as much of a bottom feeder as you are. But Bill, it makes a great camera, my Canon 7, even more of a pleasure to shoot. In the end, as a result of that fact, even though I'm still paying the da&n thing off, it was worth every penny to one of the few Craftsmen I know.

So if that's being some kind of pretentious twit, well tough. I'll still go put on London Calling and get plowed on some good cask conditioned ale and cheap whiskey...

Man, Luigi's site isn't very dial-up friendly.

I have to say that the tan camera bag at the top of the page looks exactly like the ones which turn up at the Value-Village from time to time (minus the velcro, but then they're usually velvet lined). Seems that what's considered hopelessly opulent today was once just thought of as decent utilitarian stuff . Nice to see someone's still earning a living as a craftsman.

coincidentally broke down and ordered the half case for the hexar rf earliar this evening. had no idea it was available until i saw it on scambay (ordered it directly from L however). i love the hexar rf but it balances funny with the big heavy 50 when you have it slung on your shoulder. hoping the case and strap will help + the paint can chip fairly easily on this particular body. i'm usually not fussy about putting wear on equip and most i have is strictly user condition for that reason. i really beat the hell out of my hexar af (usually it's case consists of a wool cap w/camera stuffed into it) i want to feel as comfortable with the hear rf. very pragmatic don't ya think? PLEASE DON'T HATE ME!
