Hello,
I just got a new Panasonic GM5! So far so good... Though I can't get the camera to lock exposure with focus when I press the shutter button half way... Is it even possible? I did set AF/AE lock on Fn1, but what a pain to use...
I also noticed you can't use the flash with a filter on!
Who else has one here? Tips would be appreciated, thanks!

after you tried it your way, try the manual... ;-)
I have a GM1, quite similar. The exposure lock is in the menu somewhere. Just browse through.
The camera doesn't know about your filter. Silent mode doesn't allow the use of flash. Again, try the manual...
These are nifty little camera's, with lots of possibilities.

Hello Rob,
Thanks, I did read the manual... I can even tell you the AF/AE lock stuff is on page 159... But it does not work... Only using the AF/AE lock works but not with the shutter button. If I am missing something, it sure isn't obvious or easy to find. I looked at every single menu item in the camera...
Also when I said filter, I mean software filter. So, when the camera is set to take B&W jpegs, no flash!
It would be quite unbelievable if exposure couldn't be locked with focus when pressing the shutter button... I have never seen a camera that didn't allow that, so I must be missing something still...

I don't have the GM5, only the G5. But I recall there's a menu setting for how the center AF box works. You can set it for AF lock only with half-press, or both AF and AE lock. This is with the G5, I'd assume the GM5 would be similar.

EDIT: I recall there are two menu settings that interact with one another for these features, and they're rather cryptic in description in the manual.
