Hi there,

I'm trying to find a small lightmeter which could do ambient and incident reading. I'm interested in the Luna Star F but I don't quite imagine its size. Could someone post a picture with let's say a leica or a canister of film beside it ?

Any other recommendation for small light meter ? I have a VCII but it doesn't do incident ...

Thanks for your help !

Fred

How's this? Hard to specify measurements of the meter, as there are bumps and lumps on most sides. The basic case sans bumps measures 6.4x10x2.5cm

I prefer analog displays in general, so I'm surprised how much I like the Luna Star F. The display is very well designed, very quick to use.

Gee Doug - nice product shot. 🙂 I've been using a Luna Star F for quite a long time and have had excellent results. Works very well with flash too. I don't think of it as over-sized, just a normal meter that either goes in my pocket or on the neck cord.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Very spur-of-the-moment shot with a Canon PowerShot G3... no flash, just afternoon light from the east on the woodpile on a roofed deck. No corrections to the file other than a trace of sharpening. Sort of like window light in effect, I agree it turned out pretty well!
