I just got a Lunasix 3 meter from KEH, and also ordered a pair of 1.35 V Wien cells from Freestyle. When I press the battery check, the indicator is actually a little above the red band (almost to the next black band). The zero on the meter seems OK (with no batteries the needle is pretty much over the leftmost black line).

The meter definitely seems to read intensity too high, at least a stop.

So, the question - is there any easy adjustment to get the needle down where it belongs, or does this really need to be recalibrated?

Thanks!

Randy

P.S. A couple of things bother me about the Wien cells - in addition to the tab on the cathode that clearly needs to come off, there is some foil on the anode side - is that supposed to be peeled off as well?

Update - I have made a number of comparisons with my little Leica MR meter. Over the range where I can make a comparison, the Lunasix consistently reads a stop too high (i.e. one EV value too high). The way the meter works, it is easy to compensate for, so I will use it for a while. May eventually send to QLM for calibration.
