Lynx 14 Front part of the lens rotation

Greetings,

I have a Lynx 14E that I purchased a few months ago in quite decent condition. Even the light meter is working pretty good and I'm getting some stuning pictures.

My question is sometimes, when unscrewing a filter, the front most part of the lens (where you attack the filter ring, it has the red dot for the shutter position) rotates as well.

Now this may be normal, but I do not screw the filters hard, and this element rotates so easily (very low force applied almost none) that it doesn't feel confident when using it. I can always rotate it back into its proper position and everything functions normally.

Any of you guys have a similar problem (that is if this is a problem)? Is there a way to tighten that front element so that it doesn't rotate so easily?

Isn't front part of lens wobbly? This part can rotate if nut ring under front elements isn't tightened well and faceplate has come off pin keeping it fixed. I haven't opened Lynx 14 recently but Copals do rely on pin/faceplate connection to prevent rotation.

I did a bunch of work on mine once, but never took the lens assembly apart. However, I did have to tighten the name plate, as it was loose. I made a spanner out of a utility knife blade, as it was the right thickness to fit those tiny slots.

Just grind down the edge so you don't slice yourself open, and snap off the ends to fit the span. Once you get the name ring off, you may see what the problem is.

I'll have to look in my Favorites for the site I referenced for going in on the lens. Just can't remember which one it was right now.
