Good evening everyone! I have a question on battery issue for the lynx14e,looking up px640a on the net pulls lots of info some stating 1.5v and 1.38 ect, some say 675 zink air batteries work the best ect.Now i'm asking the experts here on battery advice thanks in advance.🙂

And now you are on the slippery slope to Yashica Nivarna. For battery advice try the Yashica Guys web site, from what I understand, a 1.5v alkaline should work ok, but check to be sure.

I've never had a Yashica Lynx, but if the specs calls for a #625 1.35 V battery, a zinc air hearing aid battery of 1.4V [I think it's a 675 battery] will work just fine. The physical size may present a very small problem. To keep the zinc air battery from bouncing around inside the battery chamber, go to your local ACE Hwd. or Lowes or Home Depot, take the battery and camera with you, and buy a couple of O-rings that will fit snugly around the battery and still fit into the battery chamber. This is what I do with my older Minolta SRT series, Canons, etc, and they work just fine. The zinc air will not however last as long as a regular 625, but when the camera isn't in use, remove the battery and keep it in your refrig, that will help some. You can still purchase a 625A battery, but the higher voltage, 1.5V, as small as it is, could give you wrong meter readings. But, try it and see.

Thanks guy's for the advice.
