Again, M worked without flaws in snow, rain and temperatures down to minus 12 C. But I got a bit grumpy about the missing ISO functionality of the M. Have you tried to adjust ISO wearing gloves or mittens?

The Christmas feel in my hometown Tromsø (with myself). Enjoy Christmas whether you celebrate or not :

Whew, love the shots here! The WB seems better, did the new firmware version improve it?

Thanks, and I wish a great Christmas time for everyone ,

In fact I don't remember if its the same FW. I shot raw, and cannot say that I remember WB to be better (or worse). The WB is allways a big issue in winterscapes with added city light, and I always need some post tweaking to get it how I want it; a bit exaggerated colors, and snow a bit on the colder side :p.

I think the compliments for the lovely colors should go to Alf more than the new firmware. Especially in that first shot he brings out some very nice colors.

2014 Polar Night Halfmarathon in Tromsø

2014 Polar Night Halfmarathon in Tromsø

Testing Jupiter 3 50/1,5 wide open at low-light. This is from the 2014 Polar Night Halfmarathon in Tromsø, a halfmarathon in eeeh...the polar night. The night being at 15:00 since the sun is 24/7 under horizon.

Conclusion: tricky light conditions. ISO 800, underexposed aprox -2EV and correcetd in LR. OVF worked well, EVF was imo close to useless.

Interesting photo. But at ISO 800 the blueish and vertically structured color noise in the sky is really bad, I think. Never saw that much noise in my M240 night shots. Any idea, what happened there?
